I have a portable amcor air conditioner- no matter what i set the temp for- the compressor goes off at 70-idea
Q: that's not forbidding enough for us- the compressor isn't supposed to go off until it hits whatever temp you set it for- i set it for 63 but it still turns off at 70 and won't go back on until the cubicle quarters hits 72- any ideas?
A: I don't remember how cool you like it, but 70° is pretty good. It's natural for it to have a bit of a differential.
It could have a low limit placement in the thermostat of 70°. Read the book.

Amcor air conditioner won't turn on?
Q: My new amcor air conditioner blew out hair-splitting cold air when I got it today. But for some reason, the compressor kicks on and then shuts off after about 3 minutes of cooling and justifiable the fan runs. Am I doing something wrong or is this a fault
A: Sounds like to me the negligible wire-like thermostatic control bulb is somehow touching the evaporator wind. That small bulb controls the thermostat and when it fells cold, it tells the compressor "thats enough for now"... then cuts it off
